Youth Protection Training is now available on-line. Go the the Great
Trail
Council Website www.gtcbsa.org , click the Training button on the left, and
follow the directions. It is very similar to the video, but it is
presented
in 3 major sections. The total time will still be between 1 to 1 ½
hours,
but you can do part and then come back later and do some more. The
exam at
the end is not too bad, no really bad or misleading questions or answers.
The registration at the end is very confusing and as soon as the procedure
is clarified I will print it: for now, use your name, unit number, and put
Great Trail Council in the Organization box, use your home address. I
am
trying to follow up on mine to find out how the completion gets registered
from the council in Florida (where it is sent) to your record here in Great
Trail. Remember that you need to have at least one Youth Protection
Trained
adult at every event and activity, it is required for the new Tour Permits. |
